      Job Description

      The Kitchen Manager oversees daily kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, safety, and efficiency. This role involves supervising staff, managing inventory, and maintaining high standards in a fast-paced culinary environment. The ideal candidate is organized, experienced in kitchen management, and capable of leading a team to deliver consistent, high-quality food service.

      Key Responsibilities:

      Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers.

      Ensure all menu items are prepared according to recipes, portion guidelines, and presentation standards.

      Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the kitchen and all equipment.

      Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food costs to stay within budget.

      Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff performance.

      Implement and enforce food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures.

      Develop schedules and assign tasks to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

      Collaborate with front-of-house management to meet service requirements and customer satisfaction.

      Qualifications & Skills:

      Proven experience in kitchen management or a similar leadership role.

      Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and kitchen equipment.

      Excellent leadership, organizational, and time management skills.

      Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and solve problems efficiently.

      Strong communication and team-building abilities.

      Work Conditions:

      On-site role in a busy kitchen environment.

      Physically demanding work including standing for long periods and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

      Flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
